video editing software handbrake image
ga_crush7
I have the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 and it saves it's video files to mpeg4. Everytime I try to import into windows movie maker it says the file format isn't accepted. I really don't want to mess with another editing software or dish out the money to get a converter. How can I get the files onto wmm?
Answer
You have to convert your videos using something like http:www.handbrake.fr/ As you have found, WMM does not support mpg4 (quicktime does though). Files associated with Windows Movie Maker
Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma
Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf
Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

How do I use clips from a DVD to a video?
Sucy
I am about to get sony editing software and I need clips from a DVD I have to use for the video I'm going to use. How would I go about that? Please try not to mention any of programs; I don't want to constantly have to pay for other programs if I have one that is able to do the things I want it to do. (It's going to be used for review purposes.)
Answer
Do you mean that you want to rip or convert your dvd to video formats while not wangting to pay for any software? In fact, you are not necessarily to pay for them, there are free tools which can help like handbrake or dvd shrink.
