I love editing videos. I have an HD camera which takes awesome footage, however when I upload it into my Adobe Premiere, the HD quality is ruined. Not to mention, Adobe premiere never works like it's supposed to. It crashes and locks up A LOT and even the special effects they have that come with it destroy the video and don't always work the way they're supposed to (example: it has one special effect that's supposed to scroll a mini video over the main one. However, the video always jerks and has lines through it while scrolling...)
I can't take Adobe Premiere much more! Anyone know any awesome video editing programs that won't ruin HD and is pretty open as to what videos it can create (.avi, .wmv, .mp4, etc) I specifically would like it to export to .avi and .wmv so that it works with other programs I have.

Recently, I bought Corel Video Studio Pro X5 'Ultimate' version for $60 at Staples, on sale, and it's a really comprehensive and powerful program for amateurs and less demanding professionals alike. The normal, regular price in Toronto, Canada is $100 CAD. However, Adobe Premiere is more powerful and way more expensive.
I have an older computer with a Pentium Dual-Core E 2160 1.8GHz and Corel Video Studio Pro X5 is really pretty smooth on my machine, considering my machine is 5 years old. I did upgrade to a better graphics card (Geforce GT 240) and 4GB of RAM which really helped my computer and made it faster. I can also export to MP4, WMV and AVI with no problems at all and I know this is important to you.
You didn't mention the hardware you are using Adobe Premiere on, but I can tell you with all certainty that if you have a computer older than 4 years, little RAM memory (2GB or less) or an old graphics card (Geforce 7300 GT, Radeon X1300) you are in for a nasty surprise with Adobe Premiere.
If you can, just upgrade RAM memory and the graphics card before buying new software. Adobe Premiere is known for running well on modern and powerful computers.
Also, if you are running Adobe Premiere on lower end laptop, you will not be happy because of poor integrated graphics on those computers. There is nothing you can upgrade on a laptop except RAM memory and that may not help with Adobe Premiere performance because the graphics chip is still the weak link. A good desktop is always the better choice for any video editing.
There may also be problems with the Preferences Setup in the software so make sure you get those things right. You said that when you import a video, the quality is lost. Check your 'Preference Settings' and 'Project Settings' when creating a NEW project. I had those issues with my new software.
Join Adobe forums and browse through their site for a lot of useful information. I really hope you did not install a pirated version of the software because pirated versions never work right and they don't even have all the features enabled. It's a hot mess, trust me.

Does the Dell latitude E6410 laptop come with video editing software?

I know some computers come with video editing software, but I would never know because I don't know what it's called. Does this computer come with it? If so what's it called? It doesn't matter if it's not super advanced.
