video editing software help?

.

Can someone tell me a good video editing software, that is:

1) Easy to use
2) Can record the screen in good quality
3) Can do lots of different effects/transitions etc required
4) Is cheap (below £50)

Answer
You can try Windows Movie Maker (free with any PC) or iMovie (free with any Mac)

Mess around with some videos on one of those editors and see if you like it. Those 2 are the most basic video editors out there, so learn one of those first then move up to something like Sony Vegas (Vegas is in your price range)

Editing software is easy to use when you get the hang of it...

Video Editing Software?

SpAzTiK

I would like a good video editing software that i can download for free.
I have tried Sony Vegas, but can never get the 'crack' to work and it is quite annoying.
are there any other good ones?

Answer
Windows Movie Maker should already be on your computer if not you can get it from http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/windows-movie-maker.html Version 2.6 is probably the most flexible.

Tutorials for it can be found at http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Tutorials/

There are others though...

Wax - http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ - this is also a compositor - a bit like Adobe's After Effects
Zwei-Stein - http://www.thugsatbay.com/tab/?q=zweistein - it's good but their interface is simply awful
TrakAxPC - http://www.trakax.com/software/pc/download/
VideoSpin - http://www.videospin.com/
VideoPad - the free version - http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/ - I like this one
Lightworks - http://www.lightworksbeta.com/ - another good one

VirtualDub, RAD Video tools, AVITricks and Avidemux are also good tools you should look at. Although not full editors like the others they have some useful features.

I think that Lightworks and Wax together would be a good video editing system for free.

There are loads of video editors in the $50 to $100 range - http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ppc-index.html - reviews 15 of them if you want to look at those.

What is a good video editing software, that will let me create a 1 hr film?

le hedgeho

This is the first time, I'm intending to create a movie that long. Of course, Moviemaker crashed on me, after 25 minutes worth of footage. I'm willing to spend $50 - $100 dollars. Do you guys have any recommendations of video editing software â that can edit that long and burn DVDs? Thank you in advance!

Answer
I would recommended ActivePresenter Free edition - http://atomisystems.com/
It's a screencasting and elearning tool which integrated various video editing features:
- Add comment, annotation, audio narration...
- Add transition effects
- Add freeze-frames
- Split and remove unnecessary parts
- Picture in Picture
-...

My friend recently asked me if I could help her with a video project she would like to do for her mother's birthday. I didn't promise her I could do it but that I would look into it. Anyways, the project seems simple but I would not even know where to begin.

She has 50 photographs arranged in a way to show the number 50. She would like to then have each photo from this big 50 come out from the big 50 and then have it travel back to the big 50. She wants to do this for all 50 photos.

I have vegas 10, I don't know if it's even possible to do it on this video editing software but I am putting it out there.

Any idea how I can help her with this?

Answer
you'd have to arrange them in photoshop or something -- there's no preset for photos in a "50" shape. the pictures would also be so small that you couldnt see them.

What would be the best processor to use while building a good gaming computer?

I've been looking around the internet, trynig to find the best processor for me to use in building a desk top computer. There are A TON of different processors between AMD and Intel. And I just don't know what to pick. The ideal processor would be one that can run advanced video editing software like Sony vegas pro 10 or what not, and has the capability of playing games like BF3 or skyrim. Oh, and my prefered budget would be around $50 to $100.

I like referring to these value lists that judge Passmark benchmarks by sale price:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_value_available.html
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html

In the CPU list, the Phenom II X4 955 is the top contender (topped by less powerful Athlon IIs and Intel Celerons, and by more expensive FX eight-cores). Intel's better i5 and i7 series are also more expensive.

If by chance you were looking for graphics cards, the Radeon #750 models (the first digit is the series, while the next two numbers describe where within the tier they sit). Not sure how the GeForce numbering works⦠Here are some videos:

The video editing software I need to be able to put clips together, cut, edit, etc. I have windows live movie maker, and it's good, but I want something else.

APOS

I am a college student with an AVCHD video camera. I'm looking for a new to newer editing software that has a great deal of stuff you can do, as I am enthused about the area. I would be using it on a laptop with 4gb of memory and 2.5 processor. My price range is probably $50-$150. If you could give any input that would be great, thanks.
