Video editing software?

Ahn So Hee

Hey, so I'm looking for a video editing app, which can also make slide shows with pictures :)
i need one where you can cut it.
and when you make a slide show there are effects, just like the windows movie maker. :)
and I can chipmunk my voice :) (optional)

Thanks! :)
Thanks for the answers :)
Really appreciated.
God Bless Everyone :))

Answer
Hi,
All free video editors have many limitations.
I highly recommend these video suites - inexpensive, powerful and easy to use:

Audio Video Suite: http://avs-video-suite.org (includes Video/Audio/Photo editors, converters and much more, 18 tools suite)

Movavi Video Suite: http://movavi.org (my choice :) Video Converter, Video Editor, Slideshow Creator, Screen Capture and more. You can purchase each program separately, at a lower price)

Support for all major video formats, many filters, transitions and special effects
You can try them for free and choose the best for you.

Best of luck!

I need an editing software dor my computer its a dell inspiron 8600 no internal upgrades what so ever. I was thinking sony vegas by i doubt it will work with this so what are some good video editing software that will work.

Answer
There have been two very good freeware editors recently released this year, FileLab and VSDC. Both should work with XP SP3 and your Inspiron.

FileLab is a freeware video editing program for just about all platforms (Mac, PC, etc...). I use it a lot to make YouTube videos. It runs in your browser using a simple plug-in download. It's also available as a free app on Facebook. It has many transition and video effects, very good title editor, and customized color correction to include brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and gamma. Both of these FileLab YouTube tutorials were made with FileLab

VSDC is also freeware, but has much more advanced capabilities than FileLab, such as green screen! It's not as obvious or easy to use as FileLab, but did I already mention it has green screen (chroma key), and it's free? Also, it is capable of editing in most most popular video formats and compression schemes including high definition (HD), AVI, H.264, MP4, MKV, MTS, 3GP, WMV, QT, MP3, MPEG2 FLV, SWF. YouTube. Get it now while it's free because eventually this will go payware. And here are two tutorials on using VSDC

What is the most user friendly Windows based video editing software?

Lee Wiegma

I've recently gotten a GoPro and would like to start doing some very basic editing. Do you have any suggestions on a Windows based video editing software for a guy who has basically no experience with this?

Answer
As you are new to video editing, I wouldn't jump right in to any of the high-end editors as your first choice. Feel that you might be overwhelmed and possibly frustrated. Would recommend that you first learn the basics on something easy to use and learn. Then step up later if you feel that you need more features than your current software has.

Hey Iam looking for a good video editing software something than can do alot I have an app for my iPhone buts it's pretty basic, iam looking for something more advanced for a computer or so? Thank you :) tell me everything you can

Answer
Hi Jason,
I recommend Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0
# Edit multiple-camera shoots quickly and easily. View multiple video tracks from a multicam shoot, and edit by switching between tracks in real time.
# Create high-quality, menu-driven DVDs directly from the Adobe Premiere Pro timeline.
# Capture and edit HDV content in its original format with no conversion or quality loss.

What is the best video editing software?

Jacob

What is the best video editing software for pc? I am going to be making videos with gunshots and explosions. What is the best software for me to use?

Answer
The best indicates expensive and not simple. If you are new to editing (which it sounds like). Do you really want a professional, expensive editing package? If your question is which is a good app to start learning editing, then there are several. It depends on your budget and skills. There are some entry- to mid-level apps like Pinnacle, Sony Vegas, or Premiere Elements that can get you started and they'll run you about $75 - $120. If you really want to start at the top, it'll cost you over $500 and some time to learn the app. That'll require lots of practice, book study, and possibly video tutorials...depends on you. Additionally, the more powerful the app the more system requirements. Video editing takes lots of RAM and a fast processor for rendering. Effects are another issue altogether. Once you get editing principles down, then you can learn to apply effects to your videos.

To answer your question as asked: The best is probably Avid. There are other top ones like Avid Express Pro, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Vegas Pro
