Should i get a video camera or editing software?

Ripple

Me and some friends are doing a very dedicated youtube channel and we are trying to decide whether to spend all our money on a camera or a save a bit more and get sony vegas pro. I have an iphone 5 and we have been recording videos with that so which should we get?

Answer
well, you need a camera first in order to use the video editing software. I would go with getting a good quality camera then save up if you can and then buy the software.

IPhone 5 or Galaxy S3?

Matt

Just wondering which overall is a better phone...

Answer
The iPhone5
Video calls on tap.
FaceTime works right out of the box â no need to set up a special account or screen name. And using it is as easy as it gets. Letâs say you want to start a video call with your mom. Find her entry in your contacts and tap the FaceTime button. Or tell Siri, âFaceTime with Mom.â Or maybe youâre already talking to her and you want to switch to video. Just tap the FaceTime button and get ready to smile.

Switch between cameras.
iPhone 5 has a camera on the front â perfectly tuned for FaceTime chatting â and an iSight camera on the back. You can switch between cameras during a call. So whoever youâre chatting with can see you, or they can see what you see.

See more of the web.
Get the most out of the web with the 4-inch Retina display on iPhone. Text is crisp. Images are sharp. And you can see more of every page.

Browse faster.
The A6 chip on iPhone 5 loads web pages faster than ever. Combine that with ultrafast wireless, and youâll spend less time waiting and more time browsing.

Read without ads. Or a connection.
Tap the Reader icon in Safari to read web articles without ads or distractions. Save interesting web pages to your Reading List, so you can read them later â on any device â even when you canât connect to the Internet.

Safari and iCloud.
iCloud Tabs shows the web pages you have open on all your devices, so you can pick up browsing wherever you left off. iCloud saves your bookmarks across all your devices, too. Learn more about iCloud

Get more out of your videos.
The backside illumination sensor and large aperture on the iSight camera let in more light, so videos are brighter. Auto white balance and improved noise reduction help you take great videos in almost any setting. And better image stabilization steadies every shot.

Take photos while recording.
Now you can snap still images while simultaneously shooting 1080p HD video. So even your videos make for a great photo op.

Trim to edit.
Trim clips right on iPhone. Drag to select start and end points on a filmstrip. Or make a movie or trailer in iMovie â complete with titles, transitions, and your own soundtrack. Learn more about iMovie for iPhone

Share your videos faster.
The videos you shoot on iPhone 5 are 20 percent smaller in file size but retain their full-resolution quality. Which means they take less time to email or send via MMS. And they look as good as ever.

Take even better photos.
The 8MP iSight camera on iPhone 5 has improved HDR capabilities for better color and tone and reduced motion blur. Even in low-light situations, the iSight camera catches beautifully detailed shots.

Shoot panorama photos.
Capture more of what you see with the new panorama feature. Just tap to shoot and move the camera across the scene â up to 240 degrees. The gyroscope, A6 chip, and Camera app work together to create one seamless shot. And with a resolution of up to 28 megapixels, every shot is stunning.

Edit your photos.
Remove red-eye, crop, rotate, and enhance photos right on iPhone â without the help of photo editing software on a computer. For even more editing options, try iPhoto for iPhone.

Share your photos.
Take your favorite moments and share them with friends and family. Just select a photo from the Photos app and tap the Share button. Post it to Facebook, tweet it, or share with only the people you want using Shared Photo Streams in iCloud. Learn more about iCloud

More beautiful maps.
Elements in Maps are vector based, so graphics and text are incredibly detailed â even when you zoom all the way in â and panning is smooth. Use the tilt and rotate gestures to view an area, and Maps keeps the names of streets and places where they belong.

Turn-by-turn navigation.
As you approach a turn, Maps speaks the directions, so you can watch the road. Follow along with 3D views: Signs and arrows make it easy to see where youâre headed. And if trafficâs bad, Maps offers alternative routes.

Traffic info.
Maps uses real-time traffic conditions to calculate your ETA. Youâll also get details about incidents that are causing traffic jams, so you can tell if thereâs a major accident ahead or just a temporary slowdown.

Flyover.
See the world from a whole new perspective with photo-realistic and interactive 3D views of select major metro areas. Explore like never before as you zoom, pan, and rotate around a city and its landmarks.

i think im gonna get a iphone or ipod touch i have been looking at thing's on the internet like about jail break and updates and software and i don't know what the hell all that stuff means what can you tell me about all these things or anything about software i should know of

Answer
the iphone 3.0 operating system recently came available to all iphone and ipod tough users. it gives us the ability to do heaps more features on the iphone and the ipod touch, i would personally recommend the iphone (i have one myself) its a great phone, i use to have an ipod touch when it first came out, that was great at the time too but i feel that the iphone is the way to go :)

Itâs a phone, an iPod, and an Internet device in one. It gives you access to thousands of applications. And itâs built on technology thatâs years ahead of its time.

Revolutionary Phone
With the Multi-Touch interface on iPhone, you can make a call simply by tapping a name or number in your contacts or favorites list, your call log, or just about anywhere. Visual Voicemail lets you select and listen to messages in whatever order you want â just like email.

Widescreen iPod
iPhone shows off your content â music, movies, TV shows, and more â on a beautiful 3.5-inch display. Add to your collection by downloading music and video wirelessly
from the iTunes Store. Scroll
through songs and playlists
with the touch of a finger.
Even browse your album
artwork using Cover Flow.

Breakthrough Internet Device
iPhone uses fast 3G and Wi-Fi wireless connections to deliver rich HTML email, Maps with GPS, and Safari â the most advanced web browser on a mobile device. It has Google and Yahoo! search built in. And since iPhone multitasks, you can make a phone call while emailing a photo or surfing the web over a Wi-Fi or 3G connection.

The Fastest iPhone Ever
The first thing youâll notice about iPhone 3GS is how quickly you can launch applications. Web pages render in a fraction of the time, and you can view email attachments faster. Improved performance and updated 3D graphics deliver an incredible gaming experience, too. In fact, everything you do on iPhone 3GS is up to 2x faster and more responsive than iPhone 3G.

Now you can shoot video, edit it, and share it â all on your iPhone 3GS. Shoot high-quality VGA video in portrait or landscape. Trim your footage by adjusting start and end points. Then share your video in an email, post it to your MobileMe gallery, publish it on YouTube, or sync it back to your Mac or PC using iTunes.

3-Megapixel Camera
The new 3-megapixel camera takes great still photos, too, thanks to built-in autofocus and a handy new feature that lets you tap the display to focus on anything (or anyone) you want.

Voice Control
Voice Control recognizes the names in your Contacts and knows the music on your iPod. So if you want to place a call or play a song, all you have to do is ask.

With a chat-style view and an intelligent Multi-Touch keyboard that predicts and suggests words as you type, iPhone texts smarter than any smartphone.

Sending SMS and MMS
Watch the video
Text like you talk.
Messages appear on your iPhone as an ongoing conversation, so itâs easy to pick up where you left off. You can even forward one or more messages to others.

Take suggestions.
The intelligent keyboard predicts and suggests words as you type. It also features a built-in dictionary and

Send MMS.
Take a photo or shoot some video, then send it via Messages. You can also send audio recordings from Voice Memos, contact information from Contacts, and locations from Maps.*

With a 3-megapixel autofocus camera and a photo application that makes it easy to share, iPhone 3GS is the most photo-friendly phone ever.

Taking Photos
Watch the video
Tap to take a picture.
iPhone snaps shots with a tap then saves them in the Camera Roll, where theyâre easy to enjoy. Rotate iPhone to see a photo in landscape. Zoom in or out with a pinch or a double-tap. Turn any photo into your iPhone wallpaper. iPhone even geotags your photos with information about where they were taken.
How to use a photo as your wallpaper

Share your photos.

Select photos you want to email and iPhone opens a new message for you. Send photos via MMS, too.* Or post everything directly to your MobileMe Gallery where friends and family can browse and download them.

the iphone is simply an amazing phone.

What would be a good camera for my needs?

video editing software iphone 5 image

Will

So my dad just got the whole adobe creative suit for his job through the creative cloud so I downloaded a couple of things including photoshop onto my computer thinking that it looked cool. Before I had a couple of photo editing softwares like aperture but it just couldn't do what I really wanted to do with the software so I gave up on photo taking and editing. After playing around with photoshop for a while I realized that I could really do any thing that I wanted to do with it so I became interested in photo taking and editing again. My one problem though is that my camera options are not very good. I have an iPhone 4s with which I usually take all my pictures with but if I put the image on full screen on photoshop I can see a bunch of pixels. My dad has also let me borrow his old camera which is a Sony Zeiss 8.1 mega pixel with 15x optical zoom but the zoom is not good and the quality is not any better than the iPhone camera. So I was wondering if there was a cheap good quality camera out there that could fit my needs of just taking good quality outdoor and indoor pictures that I could work with in Photoshop. Also I also downloaded Premiere Pro and After Effects so video capability and quality is an important factor. Any answer or opinion would be greatly appreciated so thank you.

Answer
Try this. It beats all dSLR's when it comes to zoom and you don't even have to know much about photography to use it. Just remember to use it under lots of light all the time or simply use flash when light is low to get good quality pictures consistently. Best of all, it costs less than half of decent dSLR models out there.
