Kodak playsport question?

Reba

ok i got the kodak playsport video camera for christmas, and i made my video and wanted to edit it. i plugged the camera to my computer (which is a Gateway labtop) and i had to download this editing software for it. See i usually use Windows movie maker to edit videos, and i went to edit the video, and the video became like really slow. The audio was on point just the video was wayyy behind and very slow. i dont know what to do, so any help?

Answer
As far as I know, kodak playsport captures video in mov format which cannot be recognized by windows movie maker. So you'd better try to change the file extension to wmv, avi, mpg for importing to wmm. Read the following tutorial. Hope that software may help u.

Why is Kodak playsports video/audio off sync?

Saras

I use my PS3, Blender, Windows movie maker, and Videopad to edit videos, and I only have this problem on the last three. I download my videos from the Kodak to my ps3 and everything's synced fine, but when I download it to my computer the video is slowed down to half the speed and the sound plays normally so that it's totally off sync. If it's any help the software I use to download my videos is kodak media impressions. Do you think maybe the problem is I need to update it? If anyone knows how to fix this problem I'd be very appreciative.
I tried to find what format the kodak playsport videos are but noone actually says. PS3 however can handle a wide variety of formats so thats probably why everything works on that. I'm going to try updating kodak media impressions, and see if that helps.

Answer
Not all video formats are compatible with all editing software. You need to know what video format your PS3 uses and what video format your editing software supports. WMM does not support all video formats.

Flip UltraHD or Kodak Playsport ZX3?

ROCZ

I know that everyone's gonna choose the flip, but hear me out.
I'm going on a trip and I want to know which will be more convenient. The features that are making it difficult for me is the battery, sd card, and water capability.
I plan on using the camera fully on my trip, so the flip would be great for that since it uses regular batteries so I could switch them if they ever run out. However, it only depends on internal memory so I can't get an sd card for it. And it's not waterproof (which might be very handy in some cases).
The Kodak has an sd card slot and is waterproof. However, it only depends on the life of the rechargeable battery and I can't recharge it in the middle of a trip because it takes a long time to charge.

HELP... ME...

Answer
I have a Kodak Playsport Zx3 and using the camera is awesome. The software is eh, but if you know anything about video editing you probably have a way to convert the files into a more manageable format than .movThe Flip Ultra is soo much bigger and you have to buy a special case to take it underwater. I bought mine to shoot funny videos and take snorkeling videos on my honeymoon and it works great for both. A word of advice is to try to shoot video for at least 30 seconds when you are shooting because the most trouble I have had with this is with really short videos.

video editing software kodak playsport image

damnit_the

I just recently purchased the Kodak playsport camcorder. I love it so far, but the only downfall is that there is no night vision feature on the camera. Is there such thing as a video editing program with a feature that'll brighten a night shot or maybe something similar to that? Thanks!
Could any one recommend a good video editing program with a night vision feature? Thank you

Is it difficult to get videos from a Kodak playsport to the computer/youtube?

Jimmie

Is it pretty easy to put the videos onto the computer? Does it take a long time to upload? I use Windows Live Movie Maker for editing, so would it be difficult to get it into this program?

Answer
Hi, as far as I know, kodak playsport shoots video in mov formats which could not be recognized by windows live movie maker. If you need to import kodak mov format to other software, you need to change the file extension with a professional video converter. Recommend you the professional converting program I am using. Hope it could help you.
