Whats the best video editing software?

I want to get a video editing software, but i dont know which kind to get. I want one with some cool effects, like making your voice sound weird and a cool background.. stuff like that. But i dont want to spend any more than 200 dollars. Whats the best choice?

Q. Whats good video editing software for a beginner who wants to create AMV's. add subtitles to videos, edit footage, add voice overs to videos and watever else. Iv never edited before so i want to buy something efficent and useful but not too hard to master

When I started of editing, I used "Pinnacle Studio", its a really straight forward package to use and the newer editions have 100's of export approaches. Eg. To tape, DVD and wmv's/quick time (for web uploads), and all variations of those. I comes inbuilt with "TitleDeko", (a straight forward and effective text overlay tool) and "Hollywood FX"(For special effects, although these can be cheesy) I believe the newer versions also have HDV compatibility. Although doing amv's I doubt that will apply to you. The package itself is quite inexpensive, about â¬95(not sure able USD). And since Avid(the market standard in "pro" editing) took over pinnacle I'm sure there is plenty of support and 3rd party applications. Although not in your question, if you wanted to move up(after a year or two) to a more semi pro/pro system, I cannot recommend Avid Liquid highly enough although it will set you back about $500. I've found a few but they all have just a free trial and then I have to pay for it. I need a video editing software that is free download for ever. Like Windows Movie Maker, but not Windows Movie Maker. I tried Windows Movie Maker, but it makes the video go really slow with a really deep voice then speed up to really high voice like what? So please help me find a free video editor please and thank-you <3

I'm a youtube beauty guru and I'm trying to find a good free video editing software for window. I've tried their "Movie Maker" but it isn't compatible to be uploaded to youtube and you have to change it to mpeg or something like that and it's just too much hassle for me. I want some thing simple but good. I want to be able to have my own video intro and be able to speed up the video so I can do voice overs to make my videos a little shorter. Plus I need to be able to take multiple video clips and put them together into one longer video. Please help! I really need something for a quite a few months while I save up to buy a mac so I can use imovie. Thanks!!

May I suggest three very good free video editor programs, Freemake, FileLab, or VSDC? Each is safe, fully functioning, no watermarks, will not ask for money, and are recent releases that are HD capable. Some even have green-screen (chroma key) and split-screen (picture in picture) editing. Take your pick:

Is there a video editing software that seperates the voices of ppl in a clip so you can remove unwanted audio?

I have a video of my proposal, you can barely hear what I am saying, but there is a lot of background noise and other ppl talking that you can hear.

I am looking for a video editing software that will allow me to remove all background noise and every voice other than mine and her's.

Is there software that can do that?

Sorry to disappoint but no program, for video or otherwise, can do that..
There is a method to remove the singer's voice from a song but even that is usually unsuccessful.
If all the noise and voices are on the same track they can't be separated - a bit like trying to un-mix the ingredients of a cake.

Well,
Windows Movie Maker (everyone has it on their PC) will let you edit video clips and publish the video then upload onto YouTube. On WMM, when you are editing, right click on a video clip>click on effects>click on speed up or slow down, whatever you want.

I am making a movie without any voices in it, and I want to put a speech bubble over people's heads, and put text in it, much like a comic book. Is there any video editing software that allows me to do this? I would greatly appreciate the best option.
