Lightworks; semi-free alternative to Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas.

Lightworks has been used in the movie industry for more than 20 years. Lightworks also has the fastest workflow in the industry.
Lightworks used to cost more than $1,000, but now Lightworks Pro costs $60/year and you can download a free version from their website.
Sony Vegas costs $600 and that's the same price as using Lightworks Pro for 10 years.
Editors using Lightworks have produced numerous internationally renowned and Oscar and Emmy award-winning feature films and television programs, including The King's Speech, The Departed, Mission Impossible, Braveheart, and Pulp Fiction.
And yes! Lightworks is FREE if you don't need pro video codecs and you can use the free version as long as you want.

Video editing software for alternating colors in frames?
Hopelessly
Hello,
I am trying to find video editing software that can color some old black and white footage.
Specifically, I want to find movie editing software (or maybe special effects software) that can change Black and White footage so that the final result is that alternate frames would be yellow and blue, meaning that the black in the frames gets converted into blue and yellow in alternate frames, and maybe other color combinations.
I can pay up to fifty dollars for software or a service that does this. I am not willing to pay for those big expensive programs, maybe a free download or low-cost software that comes with an instruction book would work. Again, I only want to do this one thing ( and nothing else!!!!) with some old footage, I do not want to spend a year learning how to do fancy stuff.
Suggestions welcome.......
Thanks, Lightworks sounds like a good idea.
A program with an instruction manual that would allow me to write a script with alternating colors in alternating frames sounds even better, would something like Premiere be able to do that?
Answer
Just about any video editing software will do it. You may need a script to do it because tinting every frame manually will take a LONG time (assuming 30 frames per second, a 1 minute video would be 1800 frames and you'd have to tint EACH frame individually). A good free video editing program is Lightworks:
