What is the best webcam video and sound recording software?

I've got an Acer Aspire 4810T with a built in crystal eye webcam. I wanted to film a few things, edit it (e.g. add captions and subtitles) and maybe upload them to Youtube . Any idea's on a FREE software that could do this for me?

It's not really likely, though it is a little unethical to use a keygen. If you're just using Vegas to do non-professional homey stuff, I guess it's not so bad, but if you're using it to make/edit video or audio that you're going to sell, that's pretty unethical. As for if you'll get caught: probably not, and if you are, the software could be locked up, but not worse than that.
