He uses a chroma key capable software. He films himself in front of a green screen (or green or blue bedsheet, works just as well). Then uses software to replace the background color with the background graphic of his choice. VSDC Free Video Editor can easily do this:

Good Cameras for Photography and Filming?

In the upcoming summer of 2013 my class is taking a trip to Europe, I obviously want to take as many pictures as possible and want them to look great. But I have also been thinking about purchasing some video editing software to make some short movies with friends too.

I would like to keep the price range around 750 dollars. Give or take a few. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
