I have always used windows movie maker, but i'm sick of it. I want something better. My video camera is a JVC Everio HD.

Need Help on How to transfer video files from my video cam to WMP?

I have a JVC Everio and though the video files play on WMP, they wont transfer to the Library. I need them to be on my computer so I can make a movie in Windows Movie Maker. if anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated as i have a big video project due tomorrow. Thanks!

Windows Movie Maker is not the best way! But, it may be that the codec used on Everio is not on your PC although WMP plays the file - so check that first (JVC manual for starters). Then see if you can open the movie files in Movie Maker, without going via the library. If not - have you any other editing software, Nero Vision for example? That will play and edit almost anything - download the 30 day trial and do your project.
