high spec laptop for video editing image
Chase
I want a laptop and no Mac products. Also if any of you know could you tell me when the galaxy note 2 is going to be released on Verizon.
Answer
Well obviously a Macbook pro or a Mac pro would be the easiest and simplest option for there are many PCs and Laptops out there and you could search for hours through different configs and its one of the things macs do best. But that's not to say pcs are crap, but due to hundreds of models being out there your going to want to find one with these configs:
Brand: Go for a decent brand such as Sony etc
1) Intel i5 or i7 CPU
2) 4gbs of DDR 3 ram (the more the better 8 would be best)
3) Any decent ATI or NVIDIA graphics card that can put out full HD for example the AMD Radeon HD 6770M.
4) DVD drive there all the same higher read/write speed the better. Could get a Blu ray one but that's just a luxury extra and not really needed.
5) 500gb SSD hard drive (the more gb the better video can take up a lot of space) also a Flash storage would be better again but depends how intensive your work will be.
6) Want a HD or Retina display (is the best but Mac only) with a high resolution.
Again all this depends on how intensive your picture and Video editing is going to be ive pretty much listed the basics for editing but the more graphically intensive the higher specs you will want and non of this will be cheap! So if its the price that puts you of a Mac your gonna pay near the same for a windows. But please don't narrow your options and head over to the apple website and look at the macbook pros.

What is a good laptop with high quality graphics and audio?
Matthew
I'm looking for a laptop (portability is a must) with adequate specs to record audio and with good graphics for detailed video and photo editing. I would like to keep the price under $1000, but I'm well aware that high quality comes with a high price-tag. Please include information about sound cards and graphics cards.
Also, good storage ( 500GB) and RAM (8GB) are preferable.
