how to make a compaq laptop have the same features as a mac laptop?
Alexander
Answer
That really depends on which "features" you are talking about.
If you mean the operating system in general, you generally can't. The Mac OS X operating system requires Apple hardware to run. The Compaq laptop just doesn't have the right chipset on its motherboard to allow the installation of OS X without a bit of hacking.
There are ways to make what is known as a "Hackintosh," basically a PC hacked to run the Mac OS X operating system. The hardware requirements for this somewhat strict, so there's no guarantee your particular Compaq will run OS X, or be stable if you can get the operating system running at all. More information on trying to install OS X on a PC here:

If the "features" you are after are more related to specific software applications, you'll need to find similar products in Windows that do what the Mac software does on the Apple. If you're looking to do video editing like you would on a Mac, for example, you could search for Windows-based applications that do the same thing. Remember: software made to run on a Mac is coded to run on the OS X operating system and will NOT install NOR run on the Windows (or any other PC operating system, such as Linux) based computer.
It may take some searching... but you should be able to get your Compaq running closely to the way the Mac runs, at least as far as applications are concerned.
Good luck!
