What editing software is good for making YouTube videos?

I'm looking for editing software that would be able to take files recorded from something like FRAPS or Dxtory and split it into parts, render it to HD, and is rather easy to use. It would also be nice if it didn't cost more than $50-$60. Thanks :)

If using a Windows OS PC, then here are 2 of the best Video Editing Programs going. 1000s of effects and lots more on each Program. If doing HD Video, then do the Upgrade, it is needed and download one or both of the Programs and have fun.

how can i make a 3gp file video be edited on movie maker?

i have a video on my cellphone and once i transfered it on my PC it became a 3gp file, and i cannot open it on movie maker...what should i do to edit it?

First of all it didnt become a 3gp file it already was. Anyway to play it use quicktime player its free http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

If the movie maker doesnt support 3gp files u cant edit it as it is.
But what you can do is to convert the file to avi or mpg. (mpeg) edit it and then (if u wanna put it on ur cellphone again) convert it to 3gp again.
