I have the footage of my city all taken. I just need to know a good software that will make these transitions easy. Especially at 12 seconds when they are dividing 3 different views in one shot. (Can this be done)

Im looking for the best software that can handle this. Money is not an issue, and I can easily learn these types of softwares after messing around with them. I just don't want to have to buy a few different dissapointing software titles. So I am asking all of the yahoo video editor's!

The proc is too slow for my tastes. The memory is a bit slow, too. Probably, the bus is on the low end. You should have a second HDD to serve as a scratch disk, and preferably, you should be using a striped RAID.

Generally speaking, video editing is very hard on the proc, southbridge and other parts; you're going to have one hot laptop on your hands. And it's not going to be very quick.

Ideally, quad-core Xeon at 3.5+ GHz, DDR3-2000 RAM and SATA RAID 0 on twin 500GBs running 10,000 RPM

Good laptop for video and image editing?

I am learning video(sony vegas 8) and image(photoshop cs4) editing.
My laptop(HP dv2810us) is kinda slow for running that software...it works,but a lot of glitches,so I am looking into upgrading..What is the best option for me?...my research shows,that hp dv7-2270us is not bad,it costs $950 and has good graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon⢠HD 4650 (M96) with up to 2815MB total available graphics memory with 1024MB dedicated)...
So what do you think?

P.S.I am not switching to Apple!

Mac Book Pro. I'm a PC user, and at work, all video, audio (everything audio is best, too bad for me!), and art production is done on Apple. I've heard that because the Apple name was used for computers, there had to be a rule that it was cutting edge for musical production (since the Beatles' label was Apple). Might be a rumor, but.... Everyone makes fun of me because I still use a PC, and my laptop is a HP. The Mac Book Pro 13 inch screen was voted number 3 best laptop in the Consumer Reports June 2011 issue (the Mac Book Air was number one, the Toshiba Protege was number 2), and performance was outstanding. Granted, the thing that I like about PC is the amount of available software, and the options. Macs give you less options, and a lot less software, but some people like it that way. If you decide to go with PC, there are good programs that can handle video editting, but if you look at most studios, it's done with Macs. Good luck!

New Macbook Pro 2011 13" laptop?

Ok so im getting the new macbook pro 13 inches laptop :) Its my first laptop only for me, so im realllly happy! My family has always used PCs but my friends told me its really easy to adjust yourself :) But, im not sure what the difference is between the 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor and the 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor???? What is the difference?
Any reviews and comments about the new macbook pro? Or should i get a PC laptop instead?

note: this is going to be a laptop i use for school, so i will be taking it to school and working a lot with it.

Well if money is no problem go with i7 because of better performance if you need it (photo/video editing etc.) but because it doesnt have discrete GPU then I think you wont need i7. Go with i5 and save the money.
