Im wanting an video editing software that can really improve or change the picture quality (like change the contrast, brightness of a video) and improve the sound quality to make it sound clearer and 'crisper'.
I filmed my lil brother musical at school and I did a crap job filming it and my parents arent happy at the moment.

You can use Adobe programs. Use Adobe premier or adobe after effects which is a professional program for color corrections. There are tons of softwares out there. You can use simpler studios but these are very powerful programs. You can also convert you frame to photoshop layers, Correct the color and put it back to your video.

I've been editing movies for a while but have only used Windows Movie Maker. The films I make tend to be action and gun based films, so I'm looking for a software with good effects like muzzle flashes and maybe blood. I don't really mind about the operating system, whether it is Apple or Windows.
