Where can I Download a decent video editing Program for free? Not free trials of vegas, free full programs or software please. Thanks.
Answer
Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. Also check out Jaycut which allows you to export and save your videos! If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin, VideoPad or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.
There is also new freeware version of Windows Movie Maker that works on Windows Vista, XP and even Windows 7. Microsoft has added and deleted features from each version and this version has all the features from each version plus some extras.

free video editing software download?
Music Midg
I need to edit this video for Youtube. Nothing fancy, just need to delete a couple of seconds and add a picture before the video starts. Any links you can provide me with for a free video editing software download?
Answer
Windows Movie Maker is better than most people give it credit. Version 2.6 was probably the best, or at least the most configurable and you can get it here - http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/windows-movie-maker.html
For a comparison of the different versions see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Movie_Maker
Take a look at some of the tutorials at http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Tutorials/
If you don't want to use WMM then you've still got quite a choice...
Wax - http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ - this is also a compositor - a bit like Adobe's After Effects
Zwei-Stein - http://www.thugsatbay.com/tab/?q=zweistein - it's good but their interface is simply awful
TrakAxPC - http://www.trakax.com/software/pc/
VideoSpin - http://www.videospin.com/
VideoPad - the free version - http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/
Lightworks - http://www.lightworksbeta.com/ - I like this one
VirtualDub, RAD Video tools, AVITricks and Avidemux are also good tools you should look at. Although not full editors like the others they have some useful features.
Lightworks and Wax together are a good video editing system for free.
