Video Editing Program?

stitch5991

So I have a Spanish project coming up, in which we have to create a news segment. I'm looking for a free video editing program (like Windows Movie Maker, but better and more complex) because I want it to look good. Can you recommend any good programs for a Windows 7 64-bit laptop?

Answer
I don't think you would want to spend a lot of money just for a school project. Aside from the Windows Movie Maker, here are a few free video editing programs that you can try:

Wax -- a high performance and flexible free video editing software program. Wax is good for both home users and professionals.

Zwei-Stein -- a great free video editing software, but the user interface is very technical. It is full featured, offering many different effects.

Avidemux -- a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. You can trim, add filters and even encode video. You can remove the audio portion of a video file, or remove the video portion and retain the audio part, among others.

VideoSpin -- editing features include transitions, sound effects and cool titles. You can create scrolling titles, a feature usually found only in expensive software programs. If youâre editing video with the intention of uploading it to video file sharing sites like Yahoo Videos and YouTube, VideoSpin allows you to do that.
