Is there any Video Editing Software at a fair price?

Ozz B

I can't take the crashing any more, I have Microsoft Movie Maker but it can't handle the shear awesomeness of my crappy little youtube videos. I was trained on Premier Pro, but it's so ludicrously over priced as is Sony Vegas. Isn't there descent video editing software available for a fair price?

Answer
I like this easy to use video converter and editor

http://how-convert.com/how-convert/how-to-convert-video-to-mp4-with-avc-video-converter.html

It can convert among all popular videos, and Edit video as you like
Video editing functions like video cropping, movie trimming, and video effect adjustment (including resolution, bit rate, frame rate, brightness, saturation, and sound channel, etc.) are available. You're in control of your favorite clips all.
It helps you edit your clips like Hollywood: video crop, movie trimming, and video effect adjustment.

This should be the one you want.
It is easy to use. Just free download it now.
Or search other at http://google.com

What is the best video editing software for the price?

I'm making some vids with friends and i don't have any software to edit it. What should i get?

Answer
As Paul correctly stated, it depends on the type of camera you are using. If you have a DVD camera, you are pretty much left with one option, Ulead Video Studio. If you have a Hard Drive camera, you can use Sony Vegas or Final Cut Express.
If you have a miniDV camera, you can use pretty much anything. The best Non-Linear editing system is a cross between Final Cut Studio 2 and Avid Media Composer. Final Cut (FCS) only works on Macintosh computers, while Avid only works on Macs or very powerful PCs. They are both extremely expensive, but you can get amazing discounts if you are a student.
AVID: reg $2,500 discount $295
FCS: reg $1,200 discount $700 (you have to be a college student for the FCS discount)

Both Avid and FCS are industry standards, so you'll have acess to the same editing tools as editors in Hollywood. Avid has been for years, and still is dominant in the movie industry, but FCS is getting to be more and more popular.

I actually like FCS better than Avid because it's not just a video editor. It's the entire production package. FCS comes with Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro (for limitless royalty free music), Motion (for 3D FX), Color (for professional color correction), Compressor, DVD Studio and lots of other cool stuff. Soundtrack is a big one for me. If you are doing some serious filmmaking for entering in contests, you need royalty free music. You can buy it for a lot of $ or get a music composing program. Soundtrack Pro is the best. I've tried Sony Cinescore and SonicFire Pro and hated them.

Adobe Premiere Pro is another great editing system for a bit cheaper. It's $700 (student discount $350). That still may be a lot of $ for most people, but I guarantee you wont find anything close to the quality of Avid, FCS or Adobe on a consumer program.

But it's totally understandable if you can't spend that kind of money. Some decent, cheaper programs are Sony Vegas, Final Cut Express, and Pinnacle Studio.

Well, I hope that helps, and good luck.

What is the best Video Editing Software?

Jacob

ok... well im looking for a video editing software that i can use on home videos from a video camera. I want a software with a lot of visual effects (special effects), and an easy user interface (well at lest not very complicated). I am somewhat of a begginer, but i still know some about these kinds of things.
Price does not matter.

Answer
If you get the DVD Express that will allow you to plug in your camera or any source with composit video or s-video, it comes with Ulead softwares.

The price just jumped with the intro of vista. It used to be less than $50. US.

What is Best Video Editing Software?

SD

Let me know the Best Video Editing Software(s) with advanced features. It should work on windows 7.

Answer
The top-ranked video edting software for PC:Ulead Video Studio, Adobe Premiere Elements and SonyVegas. But I think they are recommended for experienced users,it does take some learning and much more expensive.
If you are looking for something advanced but still user friendly with reasonable price,I will recommend DVD Slideshow Builder. Very easy to use with professional features and same sort of layout as Movie Maker however a lot more powerful.

The price doesn't matter, I am willing to pay anything for the best editors.

Thank You!

Answer
The best is Adobe Premiere with After Effects which will cost around $1,700 when bought with Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium - http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/production.html

Cheaper (and easier to use) is Sony Vegas - http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware ($600)

I want to find some video editing software that has more features than Windows Movie Maker but isn't too much money. I've seen Sony Vegas software but that seems to be pretty expensive. I'm looking for something that is maximum $100 and has good features.

Thanks

Answer
Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. Also check out Jaycut which allows you to export and save your videos! If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin, VideoPad or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.
