Video editing software.?

Mitch

So I used to use Windows live movie maker to edit my game recordings as it had the codec required. But now windows live movie maker has changed to a crap movie maker that crashes and freezes. I have sony vegas 10 but it doesn't have the codec AVI to edit my recordings. So now I don't know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated :)
But when i try to import it says it doesn't have the codec AVI it's not the rendering it's the importing that's the problem :)
Anyone know how I could fix this problem with Sony Vegas? It's a good programme. If only I could use it.

If interested, link below takes you to the site, but you can get this $80 program for free. Do this by opening a web browser, surfing over to YouTube. Once there, in the search box on that site, enter 'Pinnacle Studio 14' or âSony Vegas Pro 10â. Youâre looking for free download, find a link or video that says that, in the video description, there will be link for a free download. Make sure, before you do this, to make sure your computer can meet or exceed those Specs above, and pay special attention to the AVCHD specs if you have or are going to get a HD camcorder.

Best video editing software that is compatible with Windows 8?

sk8brdkd

I was going to download windows movie maker but was told on the website it wasn't compatible w/ windows 8, so, now i'm stuck.

I took lots of videos this past week and want to cut portions of each video and then want to combine the videos together after splitting them.

So, I'm looking for a video splitter or cutter and merger/joiner. Does anyone know of any other good software editing tools that is compatible w/ windows 8 and has those things i'm looking for.

Answer
Hello friend, there are several best free video editing software that is compatible with Windows 8. they are listed below.
1. Ezvid Free Video Editing Software
this software is now gaining a lot of users who are looking for an easy-to-use, fast, simple, drag-n-drop, and hassle-free video editing program. It is thought to be the worldâs easiest and best video and slideshow creator for Windows â and is 100% Freeware forever.

2. Avid FreeDV
is another free video editing program not only for Windows but for Mac operating system as well, and includes basic video and audio editing capabilities, up to two streams of real-time effects but not as easy to use just like EZVID. However, recent update about this software is that it is no longer available and is being replaced by Avid Studio and is no longer a free version but a paid one.
