what is the difference between apples imovie and final cut?

i was planning on buying sonys vegas software for my video editing and then i remember using imacs imovie in my high school a/v class but now i see there is final cut so i have no idea what is the difference, cost, or witch one is better in the long run. can someone please explain? and please try not to tell me that apple runs smother or how crappy pc is i heard it all.

Final Cut Pro is a professional editing software application. It has way more features than iMovie! iMovie is free with any mac, and Final Cut Pro is $999.

I saw some on Ebay, im using a canon 7D for photo and video. Using Adobe Master Suite and Final Cut studio as editing software.

The chroma key backgrounds can be purchased from any large photo store. The same with the lighting you will need.

There are also some websites that sell chroma key background setups and lighting, but they are mainly for still photography.

For shooting against a chroma key background when shooting video, you may want to buy a large chroma key green background like a Westcott 10 x 24 foot background.

You will also have to buy enough incandescent lighting to evenly light the chroma key background as well as the subjects you are shooting.
