I want software for animation, web designing, video editing, and music (trance or rock).
What about Photoshop? Is there anything for that? If so, what would it be?

Answer
dont get robbed you dont need a Mac, Windows is the best first you should look at your computers hardware see if it runs all the software the if you want to spend money get Adobe Collection, if you want free you should look for Adobe alternatives like Paint.Net as PhotoShop
and if you want professional software but low cost try Corel (link is in the source) and its basically Adobe like software's for "animation, web designing, video editing, and music" but really cheaper like %60 discounts. and if you upgrade your laptop Get Windows 8 because of the DirectX11.1 and smoother UI and Rendering it will make you work and render faster than a Mac and win7

I love video editing! I have had a Desktop PC for a long time and done some great work with it however, I am ready to move to something more advanced than what I have been doing (Windows Movie Maker). Since I want a new computer, I might as well go portable. I like Apple's macbooks, but I wanted to see if there were any other computers that offered everything that macs offer and maybe more features for less $$$. Any Suggestions?

Answer
Hi FireHawk,
video editing requires a powerful and speedy machine. Many of their laptops
are designed for video games, which means that their multi-media capabilities are top of the line. Though Alienware is one of the best, Hewlett-Packard is good too. Make sure to get quality graphics and audio cards. nVIDIA makes great graphics cards while Audigy sound cards are best for real-time editing.
