I'm becoming more and more interested in video editing, so I personally would like to get a laptop(no matter what the price) that would both perform great for video editing and also for everyday needs(internet and typing). Any brand of laptop would be great! Thanks!

What's a simple video editor with a tempo track?

I'm trying to edit video (for making music videos) but I don't want a bunch of effects or features, namely things that will make this video editing business even harder on my relatively low spec gateway laptop. I need a tempo track so I can edit video like on an audio editing program, lining up clips to the beat and such.
