A good free video editing software?

Jasmine

What is a good free video editing software that I can download? One that lets you put different different videos together and add effects.

Answer
Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. Also check out Jaycut which allows you to export and save your videos! If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin, VideoPad or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.

There is also new freeware version of Windows Movie Maker that works on Windows Vista, XP and even Windows 7. Microsoft has added and deleted features from each version and this version has all the features from each version plus some extras.

well i want to edit my video to play in reverse and i have Windows Movie Maker and i know that that program doesn't have the ability to do that. so does anyone know of any free software i can get off the internet (that doesn't have any viruses =P ).

i want to make my video play backwards like when you see on youtube a cat putting "on" sunglasses (when he was actually taking them off but the owner reversed the video) or when you see a guy falling "up" the stairs lol =P

With Aunsoft video converter, you can also convert videos for video editing software like Adobe Premiere, Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, and upload video to YouTube and MySpace to share videos.
