Hd video should be fine, but you might want a dedicated graphics card for games

Bear in mind these would be exactly how I've presented them, no customization on the Alienware and VERY minimal, if any (can't go above $1200) on the Studio. It would be used for college and gaming.

The first one. Better processor, and a 2 year warranty. Larger HDD. And I'm guessing the video card in the first one is better, too. The only thing the second one has going for it is the Alienware "cool" factor, and slightly better screen resolution.

EDIT: Oops. The video card in the Alienware is better. My bad. But not that insanely much better.
