Video Editing software to make youtube videos?

TedRoy

I'd like to start making Youtube videos, I don't have a camera so the majority of the videos I have in mind will be using existing video files and cutting them up, just to get a feel for editing before I go out and buy a camera.

I'm looking for a reasonably simple to use FREE video editor, any open source ones around that are easy to use? I've found a few but they're a bit too hardcore for me.

--- This will help you....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyric/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

Video editing software?

???

For Christmas, I would like to get a video editing software. I have been making Youtube videos and just uploadign them without editing them. I would like to make my future uploads more professional looking. I am a complete beginner at editing. Does anyone have any suggestions on a simnple-to-use, yet professional editing software that I could buy? Thanks!

Answer
Hello Sara, there are several good video-editing app. they are listed below.

1. Windows Movie Maker 2012
Windows Movie Maker is supremely easy to use. Just drag and drop a few clips onto the program (most formats are supported) and immediately they're assembled into order; transitions and special effects are just a click away.

2. Kate's Video Toolkit
While there's nothing too surprising in Kate's Video Toolkit, it does provide some basic but useful editing features. So you can trim files or join them, link two videos with a transition, create a sequence of videos with a custom soundtrack, and there's a simple file format conversion tool as well.

3. Avidemux
Avidemux is a small but capable open source video editor which can help you join clips, cut them (without re-encoding), and apply a lengthy list of useful filters (Add Logo, Crop, Flip, Rotate, Resize, Sharpen, Remove Noise, tweak brightness, contrast colours and more).

4. VSDC Free Video Editor
Non-linear video editors can take some time to learn, and VSDC Free Video Editor is no exception (a lack of useful documentation doesn't help, either).
If you persevere, though, you'll find a capable editor with plenty of functionality: drawing and selection tools, plenty of colour and lighting corrections, some useful filters, transitions, audio effects and more.
