What type of laptop is best for video editing?

So I'm taking a media experience course at college and it covers lots of stuff from video editing to animation. I know that animation on a laptop is near impossible and I know it's best to get a desktop for this kind of thing but a laptop is much more convenient for moving around between classes. So I would like to know: what kind of PC laptop is best for all-round media work?

dell xps, lenovo ideapads, or if u r desperate hp. I hate to say it but u could also use a mac if u have the money (but they suck!)

I'm thinking about getting a MacBook or MacBook Pro, do they have good editing software programs?

Right now I have an HP laptop, I bought it a few months ago? But I'm considering on getting a MacBook. My brother has the Pro and only says nice things about it. But on my HP I have the Adobe Master Collection CS3.
Would getting a Mac be better, or should I just stay with HP and Adobe software for video editing?

You should stick with your HP because in my opinion, any Mac computer is overpriced and has lower specs for the money.
