Well, I want a video editing software more powerful than windows movie maker but not really expensive either. I really like Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate but I only have a small pocket HD camcorder. I might be thinking of getting a green screen aswell so it has to be compatible with a green screen. I'd say the budget is a £100?

Answer
Well your budget is perfect for what I use, Movie Edit Pro http://www.magix.com/gb/movie-edit-pro/. HD compatible, powerful and easy to use. What more would you want!

What is a good video and music editing software?

I have an HD Hero 2 helmet camera, and I need a good, preferably free video editing software that will alow me to splice, cut, different effects and add music to my movies

Answer
I recommend Sony Vegas products: http://sonyvegaspro.org
(MoviEZ HD and Vegas Movie Studio for beginners, Vegas Pro for advanced users and professionals)

Another powerful video editor is Magix Movie Edit Pro: http://magix-video.com

Also take a look at these video editors for home users:

Magix Video Easy - http://videoeasy.magix-video.com
Movavi Video Editor - http://videoeditor.movavi.org
AVS Video Editor - http://avs-video-suite.org

free download, support all key video formats, many filters, transitions and special effects, easy to use and inexpensive
