Free video editing software?

Bob

I have a PC and, I love iMovie on mac, but i just want a 100% free movie editor. I found some good software like Avid and AVS but they both weren't 100% free and put a water mark on the finished video. Help please

Answer
If you have a PC, you should also have Windows Movie Maker already installed (look in the programs).

But if that doesn't wow you, how about three very good freeware video editor programs, Freemake, FileLab, or VSDC? Each is safe, fully functioning, no watermarks, will not ask for money, and are recent releases that are HD capable.

They are listed in order of increasing capabilities. Freemake provides merging of video clips, and simple editing such as cutting and splicing. It will also automatically upload your video to YouTube if desired. It is also capable of converting your video to just about any video format in existence. FileLab has much more features, such as color correction, title editor, and special effects. FileLab also runs on both PC's and Macs (no-kidding)! VSDC is an advanced editor, capable of effects such as green screen editing. The following link has more info, but make sure to also view other articles on this site, as they outline other capabilities of these three programs.:

Dario

I have a mac and i used to have imovie, but something happened to it and i havent been able to recover it. i have tried everything. Now, i was wondering what would be some good video editing tools for mac that are free, and have no watermark.
No jacob. I meant what is a software besides imovie. I dont have it and i cant get it.

Answer
iMovies can be really helpful sometimes, and it's free. Here's a beginners tutorial to help you:

Visit the link, it's really helpful for a beginner.

Also try downloading iMovies again from the app store, if you've bought it or else you could just torrent Final Cut Pro X. (There's no watermark, as there's no serial code.)
